Making it impossible to leave.

I spear ayu, and I have been diving in the Takami River in Higashiyoshino for over ten years. What I learned from wandering around the world is that a river this clear exists nowhere but Japan.

And into that river, people leave their rubbish. Cans, plastic bottles, convenience-store packaging, the remains of barbecues, lunch boxes, nappies — even refrigerators.

To be honest with you, I hate picking up rubbish. Why should I be the one picking up what somebody else threw away? I still think that. So we are not going to be a kind-hearted crew that picks up rubbish. We do the opposite. We turn the thing nobody wants to do into play. We make picking up rubbish entertainment.

The more people who know the story of the rubbish rabbit who came from the moon, the more leaving rubbish in this river becomes something you simply cannot do. If nothing is left, there is no rubbish. There is nothing to pick up at all. That is what this project is for.
